Pyae Phyo Aung, Owner. “Pyae”
Hello I’m Pyae (pronounced Pee-A one syllable), the founder and owner of My Valet Ltd. I am the 10th of 10 children from a rural village near Magway in Burma (Myanmar). We farm peanuts, rice, mangoes and sesame and we have a cow to grind the sesame oil and travel to the nearest town.
I left school aged 12 to support my family and have had many jobs including selling flowers, construction work, photocopy shop, rickshaw bicycle rider, chef for 50 Buddhist monks when I lived in a monastery, a tour guide when I slept in the luggage hold of the bus and, most recently, housekeeping in 5* hotels in Burma and Bath. I setup My Valet in April 2025 in Bath, where I live on a canal boat.
Abasiakara Mboho “A.B.K.”
Hello I’m Abasiakara (A.B.K.) and I’ve jmrecently moved to Bath from London on my narrowboat “Dreamcatcher” which was an adventure. I have known David and Pyae as friends for a few years and also work in David’s boat business helping host B&B guests on Freedom. I will work in Pyae’s business whilst deciding on my future.
I was born in Nigeria and moved to the UK aged 4. After graduating from University I worked at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge where I was a manager in the food and wine division before being recently made redundant.
Lewis Flower
Hello I’m Lewis. I’m a friendly and enthusiastic person with a real passion for music, particularly guitar-based. I studied Music Performance at Bath College, which gave me a strong creative background and taught me the importance of commitment, teamwork and attention to detail.
Outside of music, I really enjoy gardening and being outdoors. I’m practical, hands-on and always keen to learn new skills and take on new challenges. I’m reliable, hardworking and enjoy working with people as well as independently.
David Lewis, Director
Hello I’m David, Director of My Valet Ltd. After doing research in entomology and a period teaching biology & psychology in independent schools, I have founded and run several businesses including Examboost, Rutland Telecom (now Gigaclear), Edgy Productions and Freedom Canal Studio. I have 3 adult sons, 2 living in Vietnam. I love swimming and playing the piano. I live with Pyae on our canal boat “Freedom” in Bath where we host parties, creative events and B&B guests from all over the world.
