I am the 10th of 10 children and I was born near Magway in a rural village of farmers. We farm peanuts, rice and sesame and we have a cow to grind the sesame oil.

I left school aged 12 to support my family and have had many jobs including selling flowers, construction work, photocopy shop, rickshaw bicycle rider, chef for 50 Buddhist monks when I lived in a monastery, a tour guide when I slept in the luggage hold of the bus and, most recently, housekeeping in 5* hotels in Burma and Bath.

I hope the revolution against the military junta succeeds to bring freedom and democracy to my country and then I can return to visit my family, who I continue to support by working in the UK.

Any customer is welcome to visit my home – a canal boat which is moored in and around Bath.

With my ma in our village near Tawndwingyi
We own 20 mango trees on our farm which my Ma looks after. My cow loves mangoes and knows to spit out the stone.
On my canal boat in Devizes shortly after arriving in the UK, November 2023. I now live on it in Bath.
